KATARZYNA LESZEK Tancerka, choreografka, pedagożka. Współzałożycielka Studia Nieznane (Poznań,2024), współzałożycielka Teatru Tańca Nieznany (2018), wiceprezeska Stowarzyszenia TT Nieznany (2023). Absolwentka: kierunku Taniec w Kulturze Fizycznej o specjalności Tancerz-choreoterapeuta na AWF w Poznaniu (licencjat), kierunku choreografia na AM w Łodzi (magister), kursu Choreografii Eksperymentalnej Centrum w Ruchu w Warszawie (2020/2021) oraz Studium Pedagogicznego (I i II st.) AM w Łodzi. Brała udział w Międzynarodowym Programie Tanecznym Vertigo Dance Company (Jerozolima, Izrael) oraz ukończyła Międzynarodowy Program Tańca Współczesnego w szkole Nuova Officina Della Danza (Turyn, Włochy). Od 2021 roku współpracuje z Teatrem Nowszym (Łódź). Autorka choreografii do spektaklu “PO” w koncepcji Sary Kozłowskiej (II edycja konkursu Szklarnia_Inkubator Teatralny Przestrzenie Sztuki Łódź). Wielokrotna laureatka prestiżowych konkursów choreograficznych o randze ogólnopolskiej jak i międzynarodowej, m.in.: Międzynarodowy Konkurs Solo Dance Contest w ramach 13. Gdańskiego Festiwalu Tańca za pracę “illusions of shameless abundance” (I nagroda,2021), Konkurs choreograficzny do muzyki kompozytora polskiego ZAIKS za pracę “Duet for cello, piano & a heartbeat” współtworzony z Kacprem Szklarskim (III nagroda,2023), Warszawski Konkurs Choreograficzny za pracę “Duet for cello, piano & a heartbeat” (I nagroda, nagroda publiczności oraz zaproszenie na Mandala Dance Festival we Wrocławiu oraz na Festiwal Kalejdoskop w Białymstoku,2023), konkurs choreograficzny w ramach Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Teatrów Tańca My Dance w Tarnowie za pracę “holy melancholy” (I nagroda,2022). Spektakl Holy Melancholy został również wyróżniony przez Annę Królicę w corocznej ankiecie miesięcznika “Teatr” w kategorii Najlepszy spektakl taneczny w sezonie 2022/2023. W swoich praktykach ruchowych pracuje głównie improwizacją i szeroko pojętym językiem tańca współczesnego, z wrażliwością na własne ciało i procesy w nim zachodzące. Co-founder of Studio Nieznane (Poznań, 2024), co-founder of Teatr Tańca Nieznany (2018), vice-president of the TT Nieznany Association (2023). Graduate of: Dance in Physical Culture with a specialization in Dance-Therapist at the University School of Physical Education in Poznań (Bachelor's degree), Choreography at the Academy of Music in Łódź (Master's degree), the Experimental Choreography course at Centrum w Ruchu in Warsaw (2020/2021), and Pedagogical Studies (1st and 2nd level) at the Academy of Music in Łódź. She participated in the International Dance Program at Vertigo Dance Company (Jerusalem, Israel) and completed the International Contemporary Dance Program at the Nuova Officina Della Danza school (Turin, Italy). Since 2021, she has collaborated with Teatr Nowszy (Łódź). She’s the author of the choreography for performance "PO" in the concept of Sara Kozłowska (2nd edition of Szklarnia_Inkubator Teatralny Przestrzenie Sztuki Łódź competition). Multiple laureate of prestigious national and international choreographic competitions, including: the International Solo Dance Contest as part of the 13th Gdańsk Dance Festival for the work "illusions of shameless abundance" (1st prize, 2021), the choreographic competition for music by the Polish composer ZAIKS for the work "Duet for cello, piano & a heartbeat" co-created with Kacper Szklarski (3rd prize, 2023), the Warsaw Choreographic Competition for the work "Duet for cello, piano & a heartbeat" (1st prize, audience award, and invitations to the Mandala Dance Festival in Wrocław and the Kalejdoskop Festival in Białystok, 2023), the choreographic competition as part of the International Dance Theatre Festival My Dance in Tarnów for the work "holy melancholy" (1st prize, 2022). The performance "Holy Melancholy" was also distinguished by Anna Królica in the annual survey of the monthly "Teatr" in the category of Best Dance Performance of the 2022/2023 season. In her movement practices, she primarily works with improvisation and a broadly understood language of contemporary dance, with sensitivity to her own body and the processes occurring within it.
